BMW M5 F90 with MuchBoost Hybrid Turbos – 834 WHP Dynojet Performance Build

BMW M5 F90 with MuchBoost hybrid turbos delivering 834 WHP Dynojet performance build

The BMW M5 F90 is already one of the most powerful and technologically advanced performance sedans in the world. Powered by the twin-turbocharged S63B44T V8 engine, it combines luxury, all-wheel drive, and extreme performance in one package. Thanks to its strong engine architecture and advanced engine management, it also offers enormous tuning potential.

In this project, the objective was to push the S63 platform to an exceptionally high performance level using a properly engineered MuchBoost Hybrid Turbo upgrade and a complete supporting setup. The result is the most powerful MuchBoost M5 F90 build to date.

After the full upgrade and professional calibration, this BMW M5 F90 achieved:
834 WHP on Dynojet

This result places the car firmly in the hyper-performance sedan category, delivering power levels normally reserved for supercars and hypercars.

Stock Performance

From the factory, the BMW M5 F90 produces approximately:
– 600–625 HP
~750 Nm

While these figures are already extremely impressive, the factory turbochargers and supporting systems become a limiting factor when targeting power levels well beyond 700 HP at the wheels.

Upgraded Performance with MuchBoost

After installing the MuchBoost M5 F90 920 Hybrid Turbo System and completing all supporting modifications and tuning, the car achieved:

After Upgrade Performance:
834 WHP (Dynojet)

This result clearly demonstrates the enormous potential of the S63 engine when combined with high-flow turbochargers and a properly engineered supporting setup.

MuchBoost M5 F90 920 Hybrid Turbochargers

At the heart of this build is the MuchBoost M5 F90 920 Hybrid Turbo System, designed specifically for the BMW S63B44T engine.

These hybrid turbochargers feature:

  • Significantly upgraded compressor and turbine wheels
  • Optimized internals and precision machining
  • Greatly increased airflow capacity and high-RPM efficiency

The result is a turbo system capable of supporting extremely high power levels while still maintaining strong spool characteristics and excellent mid-range response.

Supporting Performance Modifications

To ensure reliable operation at this extreme power level, several high-quality supporting components were installed:

  • Akrapovič full exhaust system
  • Eventuri intake system
  • Snow Performance water-methanol injection system (WMI)

These components reduce exhaust backpressure, improve intake airflow, and control intake air temperatures under extreme boost conditions.

All parts for this build were supplied by Cougar Power Motorsport.

Professional Installation and Calibration

The ECU calibration for this project was carried out by AMS Advance Motorsport Europe and implemented using the Bootmod3 platform.

Thanks to precise control over boost pressure, fueling, ignition timing, and engine protection strategies, the car delivers massive yet controllable power across the entire rev range, as confirmed by the Dynojet results.
