The MQB platform has proven many times that it can deliver serious power when the right components are used. This Cupra Ateca project is another strong example of what is possible with a complete and well-prepared setup.
Equipped with a MuchBoost MQB IS38 Hybrid Turbo Upgrade in the 550HP option, this Cupra Ateca delivered an impressive 444 HP and 557 Nm at the wheels.
That is a very strong result for a performance SUV. It combines everyday usability, all-wheel-drive traction and the kind of power that completely changes the character of the car.
The project car was equipped with AVP Race Development MoreBHP STG 3 ECU software, AVP Race Development MoreBHP STG 3 TCU software, Blaze Performance ATOM Race Intake, custom exhaust, Autotech Sport Tuning HPFP, Snow Tech intercooler and charge pipe, and WMI.
This complete setup helped the engine breathe better, stay cooler and receive the fueling support needed for this power level. The result is not only about peak numbers. It is about building a powerful, stable and usable car that performs well under real driving conditions.
The MuchBoost MQB IS38 550HP option once again proves how capable this turbocharger is. With the right hardware and calibration, the 2.0 TFSI MQB platform can deliver fantastic performance.
