Volvo V40 D4 Hybrid Bi-Turbo Upgrade Delivers 299 HP and 579 Nm

This Volvo V40 D4 project shows how much potential the 2.0D Bi-Turbo engine has when it receives the right turbocharger setup and supporting upgrades.
Equipped with a MuchBoost D4204T 2.0D Hybrid Bi-Turbo Upgrade, this Volvo V40 D4 produced an amazing 299 HP and 579 Nm of torque.
That is a very serious result for a diesel hatchback. The car gained much stronger acceleration, massive mid-range torque and a completely different driving character compared to the factory setup.
Besides the MuchBoost turbocharger, the car was also equipped with a do88 AB intercooler, do88 AB radiator, K&N Filters air filter, full custom stainless steel 3-inch exhaust with a custom downpipe, DPF delete, EGR delete in software and hardware, new clutch kit with add-ons, rebuilt M66 gearbox, new OEM oil cooler and torque limiter delete.
The project was also upgraded beyond the engine bay. The car received a Brembo GT6 355mm Big Brake Kit, Bilstein B6 shocks and KYB Suspension PH springs. That makes this build a complete performance project, not just a simple power upgrade.
The final result of 299 HP and 579 Nm is very close to the 300 HP mark and shows what this Volvo diesel platform can achieve with the right setup.
We are grateful to be part of this upgrade and proud that our clients continue to trust MuchBoost turbochargers. If you want to make around 300 HP and almost 600 Nm in your Volvo 2.0D Bi-Turbo, our D4204T hybrid bi-turbo upgrade is the solution built for that goal.
